APPLE AND CARROT JUICE

My friends, Spring is almost here 😀 – a perfect time for detoxification! Let’s get rid of toxins and boost our metabolism! When our body is detoxified, it can function more efficiently. The detoxing process allows us to feel lighter and more vibrant – let’s improve our health, mood and appearance! 😀

 

Juicing is not only a “detox” diet, but it is also a great way to lose weight. It helps you absorb all the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables and it allows you to consume an optimal amount of fruit and vegetables. A fresh-made juice is full of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes! They are more easily absorbed on an empty stomach so drink your juice first thing in the morning.

 

I would like to share with you my favourite juice recipe – apple and carrot juice.

This simple and super tasty juice is rich in antioxidants, electrolytes and biotin /vitamin (B7)/. Biotin is also known as the ‘beauty vitamin’ due to its beneficial effects on hair, skin and nails, it also plays a role in regulating blood sugar levels.

 

I love carrots!

 

Carrots are rich in antioxidants, beta-carotene and are a good source of potassium. Beta-carotene is converted into vitamin A in the liver and carrots are the richest plant source of this important vitamin. It slows down the aging process. The regular consumption of carrots reduces cholesterol levels and prevents heart disease. Carrots are an excellent food!

 

Apples are so great!

 

Apples are full of a fibre called pectin. Pectin is said to reduce cholesterol and decrese high blood pressure.It also acts as a prebiotic, increasing good bacteria in the gut.

Apples are a “miracle food”! An apple a day keeps the doctor away! They are full of  important nutrients – vitamin C  /a powerful antioxidant/, B-complex vitamins / so important for the nervous system/, a variety of minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, dietary fiber that lowers the levels of bad cholesterol and phytonutrients that protect our cells from free radicals. Eating apples is the easiest way to detoxify your liver! Quercetin is a powerful antioxidant found in apples – it plays an important role in fighting free radical damage and inflammation and it is also a  natural antihistamine that fights allergies!

If you want you can add some parsley to your juice  🙂

Parsley is rich in vitamin K that promotes bone strenght, vitamin C and A, iron, manganese, copper, and calcium! I highly recommend this vegetble! The apigenen in parsley is shown to dramatically inhibit breast cancer cells!
